About Us
Rapix Connect was founded by a pharmacist with first-hand experience managing medication shortages.
Having faced the daily challenges and frustrations of out-of-stock queries, we recognised that the current communication setup between GP surgeries and community pharmacies is no longer fit for purpose in 2025. Staff at GP surgeries are still spending valuable time calling pharmacy after pharmacy to locate medicines in short supply. Surely, there had to be a better way! The solution? Rapix Connect.
At Rapix Connect, our mission is simple: to bridge the communication gap between GP surgeries and community pharmacies, ensuring patients get vital medications quickly without unnecessary delays.
We believe in real-time solutions for real-world problems.

How does it work?
GP to Pharmacy
Allows the GP staff to locate medication which has no straight forward alternatives.
Step 1: GP creates a new medication request
Simple interface - just enter details like Methylphenidate, XL 18mg, 28 tablets.
Step 2: Area-Wide Broadcast
Request is securely sent to all local pharmacies simultaneously with one click.
Step 3: One-click reply
Pharmacies reply with one of four options: in stock, can order, unavailable or suggest an alternative.

Pharmacy to GP
Allows pharmacies to suggest an alternative to an out of stock medication.
Step 1: Search for GP surgery
Say good-bye to long queues trying to get your call through.
Simply type in the name of the GP surgery that you want to reach.
Step 2: Suggest alternatives
Type the medication which is out of stock, e.g. betamethasone 0.1% cream 100g, and suggest one or more alternatives that are available, e.g. betamethasone 0.1% ointment 100g.
Step 3: One-click reply
GP staff either accepts or rejects your alternative suggestions.
